Basement Personal Training Studio

For this project we faced several challenges, it was not the easiest space to work with but we love a challenge! The result is a quirky and characterful private training space

Being a basement, the ceiling heights were extremely low (under 2m at points) and the floor was sloping and uneven!

The clients wanted to open the space up and make it suitable for 1v1 coaching and small classes.

First things first – with the help of our partners at Gym Flooring, we levelled out the floor, which sloped and had large grooves. Then we cut the matting to follow the uneven stone walls as accurately as possible.

We bolted down a half rack, which was customised to include a landmine row attachment and redesigned to account for the low ceiling height. Incoming is a hip thruster attachment.

We opted for black plates from Origin to keep the black and white aesthetic.

Thank you to Jorge and Nic for trusting in The Gym People.
